In the Submit icon on the website, attach the files required and follow the instructions.
The minimum criteria considered for the scientific papers are:
- The submission of original manuscripts must not be published elsewhere and must not be submitted at the same time to other journals. If any requests for compensation are made, the publisher will not be held legally liable.
- Manuscripts submitted must have value and innovation.
- Fabrication/falsification & plagiarism is forbidden..
SMHJ has very stringent selection criteria and a vigorous review process and is rejected if the reviews given by the Editor/Reviewer are not dealt with satisfactorily.

Please copy the form of Author Agreement in Microsoft word and signing it, attach Author Agreement form with the manuscript in a separate Microsoft Word file.
[3] Blinded Article file:
The manuscript must not contain any mention of the authors' names or initials or the institution at which the study was done or acknowledgements. Page headers/running title can include the title but not the authors' names. Manuscripts not in compliance with The Journal's blinding policy will be returned to the corresponding author. The main text of the article, beginning from Abstract till References (including tables, images) should be in this file, legends for the figures/images should be included at the end of the article file. The pages should be numbered.
[4] Images file and (Table file if any):
Also submit separate image file with good quality color images. Each image should be less than 1024 kb (1 MB) in size. Size of the image can be reduced by decreasing the actual height and width of the images (keep up to 1240 x 800 pixels or 5-6 inches). Legends for the figures/images should be included at the end of the article file.
Types of Manuscripts and Limits
- Original articles: Randomized controlled trials, intervention tests, screening and diagnostic test studies, outcome studies, assessments of cost efficacy, case-control series, high response rate surveys, basic research and research into technology.
- Review articles: Reviews should be systemic critical assessments of literature and data sources. Generally, Reviews are accepted by invitation only.
- Case reports: New/interesting/very rare cases can be reported. Cases with clinical significance or implications will be given priority, whereas mere reporting of a rare case may not be considered.
- Letter to the Editor: Short, decisive observations should be made. They should not be tentative findings that need confirmation for a later article.

Preparing Your Paper
Language and grammar
The journal accepts manuscript in English language only.
Structure
Your paper should be collect in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, methods, results, discussion; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).
Word Limits
Please include a word count for your paper.
A typical paper for this journal should be no more than 4000 words.
Readability
Make your write up easy and understandable. Do not overwrite the results that lead to confusion of scientific content.
Title Page
The submission includes a separate title page, follow the same order in the instructions on title page.
Abstract
Abstract must summarize the complete manuscript in one paragraph. Methods section should be replaced by “Case Presentation” for case reports. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references.
Abstract provided structured, a structured abstract is an abstract with distinct, labeled sections (e.g., Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion).
Keywords
Add 4-8 most important key phrases of your manuscript. This helps page indexing which increase visibility to your manuscript on search pages.
Style and Formatting
File format: Please submit the manuscript in Word only in DOC, DOCX format. Manuscripts containing mathematical formulas must be written with Math Type.
Font: Please use Times New Roman 14 Bold (Centered) for title, Times New Roman 12 (Justified) for rest of the Body of Manuscript.
Paragraph Settings: Kindly use 1.5 Line spacing, Justified and 6 pts in between paragraphs.
Footnotes: Footnotes and endnotes are not acceptable.
Special Characters: Manuscript containing special characters such as symbols, please insert them in the word.
Nomenclature: Species and Gene Names, kindly italicize. Also non English words such as invivo, Invitro, denovo, in situ, exvivo, in silico, etc., words must be italicized.
Abbreviations: Abbreviations should be defined at first mention and used consistently thereafter. A list of abbreviations must be provided at the end of the manuscript (not required for Letter to Editor).
Statistics: When possible, quantify findings and present them with appropriate indicators of measurement error or uncertainty (such as confidence intervals). Report losses to observation (such as dropouts from a clinical trial). Put a general description of methods in the Methods section. When data are summarized in the Results section, specify the statistical methods used to analyze them. Avoid non-technical uses of technical terms in statistics, such as ‘random’ (which implies a randomizing device), ‘normal’, ‘significant’, ‘correlations’ and ‘sample’. Define statistical terms, abbreviations and most symbols. Use upper italics (P 0.048). For all P values include the exact value and not less than 0.05 or 0.001.
References: uses Vancouver referencing style that uses a numerical approach. It refers to sources cited in the text must in numerical order according to their order of appearance. If the same piece of work is cited more than once then same citation number should be used. Each reference number should be enclosed by square brackets e.g. [2].
References format: Author(s) last name. Title. Journal Short Name. Year; Volume(Issue):Page numbers.

Note: Include the edition number after the book title for all editions except the first edition. Abbreviate edition to 'ed.'

Figures Preparation
File format: Figures must be submitted in high quality, JPEG, PNG or TIFF Files.
Size: 8-10 MB
Resolution: min of 400-600 dpi
Figure Legends: Figure legends must be separately provided in the same Manuscript.
For Biological/Chemical Drawings: We recommend you to use chemical drawing software such as ChemDraw, etc., for inserting chemical/biological structures.
Labeling in the Manuscript: Please make sure to insert Figures in sequential form in the body of the Manuscript. Mention all the Figures provided in the Body of the manuscript within round brackets.
Eg. Cell Assay is performed (Figure 1). The sequencing patterns of the data are provided during the same process (Figure 2, 3).
Figure parts should be denoted by lowercase letters (a, b, c, etc.).
Figure Captions
- Each figure should have a concise caption describing accurately what the figure depicts. Include the captions in the text file of the manuscript, not in the figure file.
- Figure captions begin with the term Fig. in bold type, followed by the figure number, also in bold type.
- No punctuation is to be included after the number, nor is any punctuation to be placed at the end of the caption.
- Identify all elements found in the figure in the figure caption; and use boxes, circles etc., as coordinate points in graphs.
- Identify previously published material by giving the original source in the form of a reference citation at the end of the figure caption.
Permissions
If you include figures that have already been published elsewhere, you must obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format.
Table Preparation
- Combine repetitive tables.
- Divide the data and use them in multiple columns under appropriate headings.
- Submit editable format: Please prepare the tables using excel sheet and then insert them or by inserting Table option in word document.
- Kindly note that Tables submitted in image format shall be returned back to authors for proper preparation in table format/editable format.
- If your data is too large to fit into the manuscript, please plan to submit them under Appendix or supplementary data.
- Please provide separate table legends above each table without inserting the inside the table.
- Make sure that these tables are clearly mentioned in sequential format of their appearance with proper mentioning in the text.
Eg: Cross recombination of genes among the group is performed (Table 1). Sequential analysis is therefore performed under multiple steps to refrain original data (Table 2).
Conclusion
Conclusions must be free of figures, tables and citations. They are powerful communication part to conclude your findings in the manuscript. Please do not overwrite the results as it is a wrong way of presenting conclusions. Most of the readers find conclusions before they read the full length article. Thus it is important for you to present conclusions in professional, significant and sustain the interest of the reader.
